AAR Completes Acquisition of Avborne Heavy Maintenance, Inc.
WOOD DALE, Ill., /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- AAR (NYSE: AIR) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Avborne Heavy Maintenance, Inc. The newly acquired business will operate as part of the Company's Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) segment as AAR Aircraft Services -- Miami.
The acquisition significantly increases the Company's MRO capacity, workforce and capabilities. "We're very impressed with the strong management team, skilled workforce and the high levels of customer satisfaction that they've achieved at Avborne," said David P. AAR achieved a 26% compound annual growth rate in its MRO segment over the past three years and was ranked among the top 10 MROs in the world according to a 2007 study conducted by Aviation Week's Overhaul and Maintenance magazine.
