AAR celebrates veteran contributions to the Company, earns recognition as veteran-friendly workplace
Wood Dale, Illinois — AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR), a leading provider of aviation services to commercial and government operators, MROs, and OEMs, is celebrating veterans throughout the month of November.
Central to these efforts is the Company’s Veteran Resource Group (VRG), which connects AAR team members who served or are actively serving in the military with information and support, and helps foster a company culture that honors service members and families. The VRG planned various activities this month, including a breakfast for all team members who served in the military, fundraisers for veteran-focused non-profits, and an opportunity to meet VFW members and discuss benefits available to veterans. Throughout November, the Company is also spotlighting the career paths of selected veteran team members.
AAR prides itself on creating a workplace where veterans thrive. In fact, 41% of team members supporting the Company’s government business are veterans. Nick Gross, the leader of this business, recently detailed the Company’s approach to a veteran-friendly workplace in an interview with U.S. Veterans Magazine. There, he shared that veterans comprise 27% of AAR’s Board of Directors. The representation of veterans at all levels of the Company helps AAR team members feel recognized and supported.
“Veterans are a differentiator at AAR. They bring experience and a sense of commitment that enhance our culture and ability to serve our government customers,” adds Gross, AAR’s SVP of Integrated Solutions – Government and a military veteran. “Although we are celebrating veterans in a big way this month, they are a focus area year-round.”
The Company’s veteran-friendly workplace earned AAR 2025 Military Friendly® designations, as announced earlier today, and repeat recognition from Military Times as a Best for Vets employer.
